IMac owners are faced with graphic anomalies

Some time after the update OS X Lion 10.7.1 iMac some owners have begun to deal with various problems in the graphics monoblocks. Symptoms of computer behavior are quite different, but the most common are the image distortion, flickering screen or blackout.

It seems that most problems arose with the owners of 27-inch iMac (Mid 2011) with a graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 1 GB of memory GDDR5, and get rid of image distortion or image artifacts helped only a reboot.

On the Apple support forum has a few topics on this subject, in which users indicate that the problem is not solved restarting the Finder, and hardware tests do not detect any errors in the “iron”, so the most likely problem is the graphics drivers.

Moreover, the AppleCare for the moment nothing can help, because they have not heard anything about these anomalies and have not received any instructions that would be described by way of troubleshooting. However, other users after sending the error reports received opposite answers from support Apple. It turns out that the Cupertino-based company’s engineers are aware of the flaw and are working to fix, which may come either as a separate software updates available via Software Update, or to join the OS X Lion 10.7.2 (no wonder it asked to focus on testing the graphics drivers) .

Let us hope that none of our readers do not hurt or soon to get rid of this problem.
