I have long been using the application Tweetbot, which is much “matured” since our first acquaintance. So recently I have been waiting for two pleasant surprise from the team: the App Store appeared not only to the second version of this great twitter client, but also the long-awaited Tweetbot for the iPad.
Tweetbot 2.0 for iPhone
The most significant change in the updated Tweetbot 2.0 is the ability to view a link or a specific user profile with just one touch. Previously, it was necessary to either “open” the selected tweet and select the desired link, or double-sighting Tapan on the screen, which is very annoying. In the tape (timeline) appeared thumbnail pictures attached. Often this will be enough to understand – is it worth spending time on her show or not.
Changed a small bar with a counter new tweets, which had previously moved together with the tape and immediately disappeared from view. Now she has become attached to the top of the list, and the number of unread messages decreases as the scroll (in the settings Tweetbot you can choose to cover as you scroll) just hid.
Also in the update fixed one more thing that always annoyed me. Sometimes you need to see the profile of a person who made the retweet a message. But if it had been impossible to do under any circumstances, but now you can easily click on the panel, retweets, and open the desired profile.
In addition, slightly changed the color palette and an interface box with personal message (Direct Message or DM), added new font sizes, etc.
Among other changes are the following:
Tweetbot is much faster to work; added support for service Readability to bring web pages to a readable form (such as the Reader features in the desktop and mobile Safari); twitter feed, references and personal messages are automatically updated every 5 minutes, until the application is open.
Tweetbot 2.0 for iPhone and iPod touch can be found in the App Store at a price of $2.99, and update the application is available free of charge.
Tweetbot for the iPad
The second was the emergence of unexpected news iPad-version of the client, which has long demanded the users. The new application offers the same feature set as the Tweetbot for the iPhone, but adapted to run on the Tablet PC Apple: with an intuitive interface, support for multitouch gestures and integration with many third-party Web services.
Summary of main characteristics of the application:
fast switching between lists and the main strip of tweets; support multi-touch gestures (including custom) to better view on Twitter and making popular action; Push-native notification; customizable sidebar allows you to hide tabs that are not used; support a large number of web services like Instapaper, Cloud. app, Bit. ly, and so on; the ability to save draft tweets, add a geotag, attach a photo or video, manage lists, and much more.
Download Tweetbot for iPad can also be from the App Store. Unfortunately, this is not a universal application, so for him, too, will have to pay $2.99.
